Juvenile Great Crested Grebe at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve is always a fantastic place to observe birds and their behaviour, and the morning of 19th October 2025 offered a truly captivating moment.

I was fortunate enough to capture a juvenile Great Crested Grebe in some wonderfully moody light on the water. The subtle reflections and soft shadows highlighted the delicate features of this young bird, creating a serene and almost timeless scene. Moments like these feel like nature pausing for a heartbeat, allowing you to truly appreciate the beauty and intricacy of wildlife.
