Late Summer Wildlife at Warnham Local Nature Reserve
On 23rd August 2025, I spent another rewarding day at Warnham Local Nature Reserve — one of my favourite locations for wildlife photography. The reserve was full of life, with activity in almost every direction, making it a fantastic session for both observation and photography.
During the visit, I photographed several familiar favourites, including Blue Tits, a Great Tit, and a particularly curious Robin that posed beautifully for the camera. One highlight of the day was a Stock Dove that offered a perfect close-up opportunity, giving me a great head shot full of character and detail.
Around the water’s edge, Migrant Hawkers were darting through the reeds, creating that distinctive late-summer buzz of movement. Meanwhile, the Common Hawthorn and Willow Herb, with their seeds just beginning to open, brought subtle hints that autumn is on its way — a reminder of how quickly the landscape shifts this time of year.
No matter how many times I visit, Warnham Local Nature Reserve never fails to surprise me. Each trip offers new subjects, changing light, and seasonal variations that make every photo session unique.
If you’re a nature lover or photographer, it’s well worth exploring — there’s always something interesting to capture at Warnham.
