Male Northern Shoveler at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve provided another rewarding encounter on 1st November 2025.

I was treated to some great views of a male Northern Shoveler, managing to capture him both in flight and quietly preening on the water. It’s always a pleasure watching these moments unfold, especially at a place like Warnham, which continues to be such a reliable spot for wildlife photography.

I’m sharing a couple of shots from the day here, capturing both the movement and the calmer side of this beautiful duck.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to explore more wildlife moments from Warnham Local Nature Reserve and beyond.
