Wildlife in Action at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

I spent some time at Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 13th December 2025 and was lucky enough to capture a few beautiful moments in the wild.

A coot splashing down created lovely ripples across the water, while a Gadwall took flight against the warm backdrop of the setting sun. The mallards were busy too, both in flight and mirrored perfectly on the lake’s surface.

One of my favourite moments was a male Mandarin Duck in flight — such vibrant colours and graceful movement. Watching these birds in action reminded me once again how endlessly fascinating and rewarding wildlife photography at Warnham can be.
