A Morning at Farlington Marshes – A Rare Cetti’s Warbler Sighting
Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Farlington Marshes is always full of surprises, and each visit brings a chance to spot something special. On the 21st of September, I had one of those rare and memorable encounters.
While exploring the reedbeds, I was treated to a brief but incredible appearance from a Cetti’s Warbler. These secretive birds are usually heard rather than seen, darting quickly through dense vegetation. This individual, however, paused just long enough for me to capture a few photos before slipping back into cover. Moments like this remind me why patience, stillness, and careful observation are so important in wildlife photography.
Farlington Marshes continues to be one of my favourite locations for both birdwatching and photography, offering a wonderful mix of habitats and species year-round. Encounters like today’s highlight the unpredictability and charm that make this reserve so special.
Thanks for reading! If you enjoyed this post, be sure to explore my other wildlife adventures at Farlington Marshes and beyond. Every visit brings something new, and I look forward to sharing more moments from the field soon.
