A Peaceful Day at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

I spent a delightful day at Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 14th September 2025, soaking in the serenity and capturing some truly special wildlife moments. The reserve never ceases to amaze me with its vibrant birdlife and ever-changing scenes.

During my visit, I enjoyed watching a coot and a cormorant going about their daily routines, each exhibiting their unique behaviors. A gadwall in flight caught my eye, its graceful movements highlighting the beauty of these often-overlooked ducks. One of the highlights of the day was seeing a female mandarin duck gliding elegantly across the water—a picture of calm and poise.

The moorhen provided a touch of amusement, dashing energetically across the water, running along the surface, and even braving the rain while perched on a log. Moments like these are a perfect reminder that nature never fails to surprise and delight.

Warnham Local Nature Reserve is a treasure trove for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers alike. Each visit offers a new perspective and an opportunity to observe the subtle intricacies of the natural world up close.

Whether you’re a seasoned wildlife photographer or just someone who enjoys a peaceful day in nature, Warnham is a location worth exploring.
