Capturing a Black Swan in Stunning Light at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

On 12 October 2025, I spent some time exploring Warnham Local Nature Reserve, a place that never fails to deliver unforgettable wildlife moments. During my visit, I was lucky enough to encounter a Black Swan gliding across the lake—and the light could not have been more perfect.

As the swan lifted into flight, its striking white wing tips caught the sunlight beautifully, creating a breathtaking contrast against its dark plumage. It was one of those rare scenes where everything aligns: the weather, the angle, the behaviour of the bird, and that split second of magic that makes wildlife photography so rewarding.

Moments like this are a reminder of why I keep returning to Warnham. The reserve is full of surprises, and nature never ceases to amaze.

If you enjoy wildlife photography or simply appreciate the beauty of the natural world, a visit to Warnham Local Nature Reserve is always worth the trip. You never know what you might see next.
