Egret Fishing at Warnham Local Nature Reserve
Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve is one of my favourite spots for observing birds in their natural habitat, and the morning of 27th September 2025 offered a wonderful opportunity to witness a remarkable hunting moment.
I spent some time watching an egret patiently hunting along the water’s edge. After a few quiet, still moments, it struck with precision and came up with a fish! Observing the skill and focus these birds demonstrate while fishing is always fascinating — a perfect reminder of nature’s balance and impeccable timing.
Moments like these make visits to Warnham Local Nature Reserve so rewarding, and they’re even better when captured on camera. Here are a few shots from that morning, showcasing the grace and precision of this beautiful egret.
Thanks for reading! Be sure to explore my other wildlife adventures and photography from Warnham Local Nature Reserve and beyond. Every visit brings something new, and I look forward to sharing more moments soon.
