Black-Tailed Godwit and Kingfisher at Farlington Marshes

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Farlington Marshes is one of my favourite spots in the UK for observing birds in their natural habitat, and the morning of 21st September 2025 did not disappoint. The light was perfect, and the marsh was alive with activity from a variety of species.

I was fortunate to watch a Black-Tailed Godwit feeding gracefully in the shallows. It’s always fascinating to see how precise and elegant they are when probing for food, their long bills moving rhythmically as they search for a meal. Later in the morning, a Kingfisher perched perfectly on a wire stretched between three posts, giving me just enough time to capture the moment before it darted away. Moments like these highlight the beauty of patient observation and early starts in wildlife photography.

Days like this make all the effort worthwhile, reminding me why Farlington Marshes is such a special location for both birdwatching and capturing memorable images.

Thanks for reading! Be sure to explore my other wildlife adventures and photography from Farlington Marshes and beyond. Every visit brings something new, and I look forward to sharing more moments soon.
