Mallard Ducks in Flight at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! A visit to Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 26th October 2025 turned into a great morning, full of movement and energy on the water.

The highlight was definitely the Mallard Ducks in flight — from lone birds skimming low across the surface to whole flocks lifting off together in perfect coordination. It’s always incredible how much action can unfold in just a few seconds, especially when the timing and light come together.

I managed to capture a mix of single birds and groups in the air, with the light perfectly showing off their colours and wing patterns. Moments like these are a lovely reminder of why I enjoy spending time at Warnham so much — there’s always something happening if you take the time to watch.

Thanks for reading, and feel free to explore more wildlife moments from Warnham Local Nature Reserve and beyond.
