Northern Shovelers in Flight at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve delivered a crisp and rewarding morning on 9th November 2025, full of activity and beautiful light.

I was fortunate to witness Northern Shovelers in flight. Watching these birds lift off together, their wing patterns highlighted against the autumn light, was a truly special sight. Capturing their movements and behaviour in those fleeting seconds as they crossed the water and sky was both challenging and immensely satisfying.

Warnham continues to be a wonderful place to experience and photograph wildlife, especially during the quieter months when moments like this feel even more rewarding.
