Pochard in Flight at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

I spent some time at Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 13th December 2025 and was lucky enough to capture a pair of Pochard in flight.

The male and female glided together across the water, perfectly in sync, their movements smooth and unhurried. Seeing them fly side by side like this really highlighted the contrast in their plumage, while also showing just how graceful these ducks can be once airborne.

Moments like this don’t last long, but they’re always rewarding to witness and photograph. Warnham continues to offer these quiet, natural scenes where behaviour and light come together, making every visit feel special.
