Wildlife Encounters at Warnham Local Nature Reserve
Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve is always a rewarding place to visit, offering a quiet mix of woodland and wetland habitats that attract a wide variety of species throughout the year. On the 21st of February 2026, I spent some time exploring the reserve and was lucky enough to encounter some fantastic wildlife moments.
One of the highlights was spotting a tiny Bank Vole moving quickly through the undergrowth, barely pausing as it weaved between the vegetation. Nearby, a striking Male Bullfinch showed off its vibrant plumage, standing out beautifully against the winter surroundings. Higher in the trees, a curious Great Tit hopped along the branches, constantly on the move as it searched for food. Adding to the scene was a lively Wren, flitting energetically through the undergrowth and never staying still for more than a moment.
Encounters like these are a reminder of how much life is hidden in even the quietest corners of nature. Taking the time to slow down and observe often reveals a rich variety of activity that can easily be missed at first glance.
Thanks for reading! Be sure to explore my other wildlife adventures and photography from reserves across the UK and beyond. Every visit brings something new, and I look forward to sharing more moments soon.
