Winter Birds at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

I spent some time at Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 14th December 2025, enjoying a wonderful morning of winter bird photography.

Highlights from the day included a vibrant male bullfinch, a pair of common reed buntings, a striking male common redpoll, and familiar favourites such as the great tit and long-tailed tit. I was also pleased to spot a treecreeper, always a challenge to photograph as it works its way up tree trunks.

It was a really enjoyable session, with plenty of activity despite the cold. Moments like this are a reminder of the incredible variety and character of the birdlife at Warnham, even during the quieter winter months.
