A Day of Wildlife Wonders at Warnham Local Nature Reserve
I spent a truly memorable day at Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 9th August 2025, capturing some of the incredible wildlife that calls this beautiful area home. Every visit to the reserve offers something new, and this day was no exception!
The day was filled with a variety of fascinating encounters:
A Blackcap enjoying a feast of ripe elderberries.
The delicate movements of a Blue-Tailed Damselfly glinting in the sunlight.
A Brimstone butterfly showing off its vivid yellow wings.
A Coot flapping energetically across the water.
A charming Feral Pigeon strutting confidently.
Two striking Goldfinches, their golden feathers catching the light beautifully.
A majestic Grey Heron in flight.
A tiny, eye-catching Harlequin Ladybird.
A graceful Large White butterfly gliding among the plants.
A curious Marsh Frog exploring its surroundings.
A Moorhen strolling leisurely across the grass.
A Swallow swooping through the sky.
