Buzzard Soaring Above Ifield Mill Pond

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Ifield Mill Pond is a wonderful location for observing the changing seasons and the variety of wildlife that makes use of this beautiful area. On 25th April 2026, I spent some time enjoying the spring weather and watching the skies above the water, hoping to capture one of the many species that pass through this fantastic location.

One of the highlights of the visit was spotting a Buzzard soaring high overhead. These impressive birds of prey are always a welcome sight, effortlessly using rising air currents to circle above the landscape while searching for opportunities below. Watching their calm, controlled flight is a reminder of just how perfectly adapted they are to life in the skies.

Having the chance to photograph a Buzzard against the open sky was a rewarding moment, especially as these encounters can often be brief. Even a bird simply passing overhead can create a memorable wildlife experience and make the effort of spending time outdoors worthwhile.

Ifield Mill Pond continues to be a fantastic place for wildlife photography, with every visit offering the possibility of a new discovery. Whether it’s birds on the water, activity around the surrounding habitats, or a raptor soaring above, there is always something to enjoy and capture.
