Great Tit and a Quiet Moment at the Reflection Pool – Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve is a place where even the quieter visits can produce some wonderfully memorable moments. On 14th March 2026, I spent some time at the reflection pool, slowing things down and focusing on the smaller details that often make wildlife photography so rewarding.

During the session, a Great Tit briefly visited the pool, giving me just enough time to capture it among the soft reflections on the water. The calm surface and gentle surroundings created a beautiful setting, showing how even a familiar garden bird can become a special subject when the conditions come together.

Not long after, I noticed a single catkin floating across the surface of the water, perfectly mirrored below. It was a simple scene, but one that captured the peaceful atmosphere of the moment — a reminder that nature photography is not always about dramatic action or rare sightings.

Sometimes the most rewarding images come from slowing down, observing carefully, and appreciating the small details that are easily missed. This quiet visit to Warnham Local Nature Reserve was a perfect example of how patience and awareness can reveal beautiful moments in the everyday.
