Little Ringed Plover at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve has always been a special place for me, offering countless opportunities to observe and photograph wildlife in a familiar and rewarding setting. On 26th April 2026, I spent time exploring the reserve and was lucky enough to capture a Little Ringed Plover.

This small but striking wader is always a pleasure to see, with its delicate appearance and energetic behaviour making it a fascinating subject to watch. Despite its size, the Little Ringed Plover is an incredibly active and alert bird, constantly moving through its habitat as it searches for food and responds to its surroundings.

Being able to observe this bird going about its natural behaviour was a real highlight of the visit. Moments like these are a reminder that some of the most rewarding wildlife encounters can happen in familiar places, where patience and careful observation often reveal something special.

Warnham Local Nature Reserve continues to prove why it is such a fantastic location for wildlife photography, with its variety of habitats attracting an impressive range of species throughout the year.
