A Dramatic Encounter with a Male Tufted Duck at Warnham Local Nature Reserve

On 10th August 2025, I had the pleasure of witnessing a truly remarkable moment at Warnham Local Nature Reserve. While enjoying the serene surroundings, a male Tufted Duck suddenly rose from the water and performed a dramatic wing flap, displaying its striking plumage in all its glory. These fleeting moments are a special reminder of why I love wildlife photography — the unpredictability and the raw beauty of nature never fail to amaze.

Warnham Local Nature Reserve continues to be one of my favourite spots for observing wildlife. The combination of stillness, natural surprises, and authentic animal behaviour makes every visit worthwhile. Patience here is always rewarded with unforgettable encounters like this one.
