Winter Activity from Great and Blue Tits at Warnham Local Nature Reserve
I spent a wonderful morning at Warnham Local Nature Reserve on 7th December 2025 and managed to capture a few moments with some of the reserve’s tiniest residents.
Great Tits were particularly active, constantly flitting between branches and rarely staying still for long. Their energy and confidence made them a joy to watch as they moved through the trees. Alongside them, Blue Tits added flashes of vibrant colour, standing out beautifully against the winter greenery and softer light of the season.
These small birds bring so much life to the reserve, especially during the quieter winter months. Taking the time to follow their movement and behaviour is always rewarding, and moments like these are a reminder that even the smallest subjects can create the most engaging wildlife encounters.
Warnham continues to offer these simple but special experiences, making every visit feel worthwhile no matter the time of year.
