Little Egret Feeding at Warnham Local Nature Reserve
Welcome to my wildlife photography journal! Warnham Local Nature Reserve is always a special place to spend time with nature, offering countless opportunities to watch and photograph wildlife in a peaceful setting. On 10th May 2026, I enjoyed a calm and rewarding session watching a Little Egret going about its daily routine in the shallow waters.
The Little Egret was carefully moving through the margins, patiently searching beneath the surface for its next meal. Watching its hunting technique was fascinating, with quick and precise movements of its bill as it targeted small fish hidden in the shallows. The combination of still water, soft light, and the bird’s elegant movements created the perfect conditions to capture this beautiful feeding behaviour.
Moments like this are one of the reasons I enjoy spending time at Warnham Local Nature Reserve. It’s not always about dramatic action shots — sometimes the most memorable photographs come from simply sitting quietly, observing, and capturing wildlife behaving naturally in its own environment.
Thanks for reading! Be sure to explore my other wildlife adventures and photography from Warnham Local Nature Reserve and beyond. Every visit brings new encounters, and I look forward to sharing more moments from the field soon.
